Mission and Vision

PSAP was founded in 1981 in Rotterdam with the primary aim of supporting the Filipino seafarers’ quest for better and humane working and living conditions.

PSAP’s OBJECTIVES

To contribute to the empowerment of seafarers within the framework of their workers’ and human rights.

To provide welfare services to seafarers, particularly Filipino seafares, in the Port of Rotterdam.

To extend support to Filipino seafarers’ families.

To promote seafarers’ awareness of HIV/AIDS and other health issues.

To foster richer interaction and understanding among seafarers of various nationalities through cultural and other means.

To enhance wider public appreciation of the human element in its maritime context, and the essential role of seafarers as a global workforce.
